Collaborative Modelling and Visualization

Plexus is a computer system comprising a relational database, an EJB server and one or many intuitive Java clients.

Many users can work on shared dependency networks concurrently or asynchronously. Plexus intelligently updates each user's view with the committed changes of his peers real-time. This allows realistic models to be quickly and economically built.

Models are viewed and edited in Network and Gantt views that comprise boxes and arrows. These are synchronized with each other. The boxes are simultaneously grouped in multiple, user-defined, hierarchic Dimensions e.g. by Work Centre, by Location, by Contract, by Work Breakdown Element, by Value Stream, by Phase etc. This allows users to make sense of complexity in massive networks, giving them the tools to filter, slice and dice them.

User defined fields on all objects allows almost any network-driven domain to be modelled and exploited which explains why Plexus can be used for so many different applications.
