Plexus Planning, supplier of world-leading planning software and services for large & complex projects, has announced an extensive range of new features, which make it easier and faster to plan and analyse large projects and supply chains, and increase the application of Plexus in a wider range of projects.

  • Extensions to Supply Chain Mapping include the ability to import BOM data straight into the model, mapping between vendor and location, and the calculation of cumulative distances between locations. This allows supply chain architectures to be rapidly modeled and evaluated to improve their affordability and responsiveness.
  • User defined fields, configurable by project, enables almost any network-driven domain to be modelled and exploited.  This allows Plexus to be used for a much wider range of  applications
  • Enhanced Pivot Chart operation means improved drill-down analysis and quick charting in Excel.  Plexus now provides Pivot Summary reporting within the Modeller and the ability to copy conveniently formatted Pivot charts to Excel
  • Saveable filters, provides improved ease of use and performance for complex analyses
  • Performance has been improved for large projects and through modelling productivity features
  • Three-tier architecture allowing either WebLogic or Glassfish web server with MySQL or Oracle database, increases conformity to customers’ IT architectures and allows Plexus to be more easily implemented for more customers.

Ian Poccachard, Chief Executive of Plexus Planning, said, “These new features are already in use  with our customers, and are part of a continuous programme of product enhancement, which has resulted in growing interest covering a wider range of complex projects across industry sectors.”
